Your personal guide through
the publishing process

Hi, I’m Lindsay.

Since 2012, I’ve worked for three of the top publishing institutions in the United States— Simon & Schuster, Inc., Sourcebooks, and Writers House Literary Agency.  There, I had the privilege of working with bestselling and award-winning authors such as Colleen Hoover, Isabel Allende, Kevin Hart, Neil Gaiman, Alice Walker, Ntozake Shange and others.  While it was an honor to work with these groundbreaking writers, my favorite part of the job has always been digging through manuscripts of hopeful would-be authors and, on good days, making their dreams come true.

This is why I started Newton Literary Services in 2019.

With Newton Literary Services, I use an insider’s perspective of the publishing industry to empower aspiring authors in their pursuit of a literary agent and, ultimately, a book deal. I believe too many promising writers get overlooked as a result of the convoluted publishing process. That’s why, as your editor and coach, I’ll make the book world more accessible, be your cheerleader, give you tough love when needed, and, above all, arm you with the clear, concise strategies you need to make your book stand out.

After working together to strengthen their manuscript and create a stellar querying package, my clients have garnered representation by preeminent literary agencies including Aevitas Creative Management, Levine Greenburg Rostan, Dystel Goderich & Bourret, Stephanie Tade Agency, Jeff Herman Agency, and more. They’ve gone on to become published authors with “Big Five” publishing houses, finalists in high-profile writing competitions, and have their work featured in major media publications.

When my nose isn’t in a manuscript, you’ll likely find me on multi-day hiking excursions, volunteering with All Hands and Hearts in natural disaster regions around the world, or tending to my two pet goats, Ivy and Fern.
